Anti-Child Mutilation Rally in Nashville Draws Foul-Mouthed Counter Protesters

Our friends at the Tennessee Star report that Matt Walsh's anti-child mutilation protest drew a small vocal and foul-mouthed group of protesters who unsuccessfully tried to drown-out the speakers.

The anti-child mutilation protest drew an estimated crowd of up to 3,000 people held on Friday afternoon in Nashville that featured a long list of conservative speakers and child rights activists and also brought out a smaller group of Far-Left counter protesters.

“‘Gender-affirming care’ is neither affirming nor care,” said an invitation to the rally. “In September, The Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh unveiled an alarming report on the use of irreversible—and harmful puberty blockers, cross sex hormones, and surgeries on healthy children at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Children should be able to trust their doctors, but are instead at the mercy of a destructive ideology led by activists.”

Matt Walsh of The Daily Wire hosted the event, which featured speakers like Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI), and state elected officials like Majority Leader for the Tennessee House of Representatives Rep. William Lamberth (R-District 44).

One of those speakers was Landon Starbuck, an anti-child mutilation activist.

“We’re here today to protect children from child mutilation… and we are so grateful to the survivors of the horrific child mutilation taking place in our state, to the survivors of radical gender ideology that devastates families, decimates childrens’ bodies, and does not give them the healthcare they need and deserve,” said Starbuck. “That is why we’re here today, and there is nothing that is going to stop us from delivering that important message.”

“Under the guise of ‘gender affirmation’ our kids are being put at risk by those pushing harmful, irreversible surgeries. We must protect our children,” Gabbard said in a tweet before the event, reported by The Tennessee Star’s Peter D'Abrosca.

Shortly after the rally began far-left protestors who support mutilating minors showed up to counter protest.

Reporter Drew Hernandez posted several videos of the counter protestors using foul language and gestures. Editor's note: Definitely not work safe or family friendly video follows:

Blaze Media reported the Far-Left radicals held up signs that read "Nazi lives don't matter" and "fascists f*** off." At one point protesters surrounded some Walsh supporters in the crowd and chanted over a megaphone, "F*** around, you're gonna find out."

Far-left protesters attempted to drown out a speech by de-transitioner Chloe Cole by repeatedly shouting, "F*** you, fascist."

Cole discussed her emotional journey of being born a girl but deciding to transition and undergo a double mastectomy at 18 years — then ultimately de-transitioning. Cole now dedicates her time to speaking out against irreversible gender-mutilating hormone therapies and surgeries on minors.

Blaze reported when Matt Walsh walked on stage, radical protesters really had a meltdown trying to chant and shriek over Walsh's speech to the rally.

One protester was captured on video calling Walsh "a far-right lunatic propagandist." The protester stated, "If you support anything he f***ing says, you're indoctrinating everyone you know into being a Nazi."

Despite the best efforts of the leftists, the vast majority of the crowd turned up in support of Walsh, reported Blaze’s Candace Hathaway.

Walsh's stated during his speech that "these people here don't want you to hear what we have to say because they're cowards. They can't engage in the argument. All they could try to do is shut us down and silence us, but it's not going to work. We're still here. We're not going anywhere."

Walsh explained that the purpose of the event was to rally together "to protect our children." He accused the far-left protesters of "victimizing and preying upon kids."

"As Tennesseans, do we believe in castrating children? Do we believe in that? No. Do we believe in drugging and mutilating kids? They believe it — we don't," Walsh said. "Are we going to allow this in our state? Are we going to do what they want us to do, which is to sit back in silence and allow our kids to be victimized?"

He added, "The reason they're acting this way is because they are losing, and they know it. They're losing. And they will continue to lose as long as we continue to fight all across the country."
