Earlier this year we were honored to endorse principled limited government constitutional conservative Republican Kristina Karamo for Michigan Secretary of State, and to encourage
conservatives across the country to get behind her candidacy to defeat the criminally incompetent Democrat incumbent, Jocelyn Benson.
Followers of Michigan politics will recall that Jocelyn Benson is the elections official who issued a memo informing County Clerks to delete some election data even as the Michigan Legislature readied a review of the 2020 election.
But the primary reason Benson must be replaced is not her post-Election Day arrogance, it is that she is a walking compendium of election fraud and illegality that contributed to the 2020 presidential election disaster that still haunts our country.
Last year, without legislative approval, Benson made the unilateral decision to mail unsolicited absentee ballot applications to 7.7 million addresses in Michigan, hiding behind the COVID pandemic as an excuse to do what Democrats have been trying to do for decades—normalize no ID mail-in voting.
She was also implicated in the middle of the night ballot dumps that miraculously erased the leads of Republican candidates Donald Trump and John James, and the subsequent cover up of the potentially statewide problems revealed in Antrim County.
And Benson would likely be one of our nominees for worst incumbent state elected official in America, were it not for the fact that she serves alongside Michigan’s Democrat Governor, the incompetent tyrant and hypocrite Gretchen Whitmer.
Whitmer is being challenged by limited government constitutional conservative Republican Tudor Dixon.
Ms. Dixon emerged from a hard-fought primary some 17 points behind the disastrous Governor Whitmer but has steadily made up that margin to now make the race a dead heat with the Democrat incumbent.
However, Dixon’s rise isn’t solely attributable to Michiganders’ disgust with Whitmer’s incompetence, hypocrisy and tyranny – although plenty of voters in the Wolverine State remember her husband taking out his boat while everyone else was locked down and the arrest and harassment of countless small businesspeople who defied her unscientific lockdowns – to say nothing of the countless businesses that went under thanks to her policies that allowed Walmart and other big retailers to stay open while small businesses their owners had spent a lifetime building were forced into bankruptcy.
Dixon has surged because she has made traditional family values the centerpiece of her campaign.
In 2021, Whitmer proclaimed the month of October as Transgender Empowerment Month in Michigan. And, from abortion, which Whitmer has publicly vowed to “fight like hell” to protect, to the gay and transgender indoctrination of Michigan school children, as Steven Kovac of the Epoch Times observed, the contrast could not be greater.
Dixon, a longtime pro-life advocate, and mother of four daughters, got a huge boost when she met with a couple of hundred concerned parents angry about public schools sexualizing their grade school children by introducing them to gay and transgender ideology.
Dixon was part of a panel discussion sponsored by Moms for Liberty, a national organization with 240 local chapters across 42 states that is dedicated to empowering parents to defend their rights.
Whitmer, who is running for reelection to a second term, was invited to be a panelist but did not attend.
And that is indicative of exactly how much Governor Whitmer, and the Michigan Democratic Party’s slate cares about what parents think and whose side they are on in the debate over the sexualization of children in public schools.
Steven Kovac reported the event was held in Troy, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit, the night after 1,300 parents jammed a Dearborn school board meeting demanding the removal of what they described as “pornographic” books from their children’s classrooms and school libraries.
A man attending the panel discussion told The Epoch Times, “We came out tonight to see and hear Tudor. She understands that we should not have to debate pornography in our schoolbooks. She’s got common sense.”
Grandparents April and Larry Borton of Mount Pleasant arrived at the meeting early and were eager to share their views with The Epoch Times.
April said, “I was heartbroken by what the school board did to our children. Trying to confuse them and making them think they need to be a different sex.
“We are small town people. We’ve always gone along to get along with others in our community, but this is so disturbing that we felt we better stand up now or it will be too late.”
April recounted how her 5-year-old granddaughter was told by her teacher that she could be a boy if she wanted to and that her teacher would help her.
Dixon said she is a strong supporter of Michigan’s proposed Parents Right to Know Act.
She is also a proponent of intensive remedial tutoring for students scholastically damaged by Whitmer’s repeatedly extended lockdowns and school closures during the pandemic.
Dixon told the audience, “As a state, we have left too many kids behind. Michigan ranks at the bottom.
“Nearly 60 percent of our third graders failed reading and writing. The number in Detroit is 90 percent.
“We want accountability.”
The best accountability the voters of Michigan can achieve is to vote out the Democrats, Governor Gretchen Whitmer, Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist, Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson and Attorney General Dana Nessel who now are running Michigan straight into the jaws of Hell and vote in conservative Republicans Tudor Dixon for Governor, Kristina Karamo for Secretary of State, Matt DePerno for Attorney General and former State Rep. Shane Hernandez for Lt. Governor.
