Is It Even Possible to Keep Democrats’ Hands off Your Appliances?
Scott McKay, The American Spectator
This is about power — power over you and your family, power over the economy, power over manufacturing and international trade. Stupid regulations are mere contrivances to get that power, because a government that tightly regulates a thing may then squeeze the manufacturers of that thing for whatever corrupt purposes the people in charge of that government might desire. And the squeezing must continuously increase, or else the folks might get more comfortable. It’ll take a wipeout election to make that possible.

Try a Little Honesty About Israel
Victor Davis Hanson, American Greatness
Iran tried to send 320 missiles and rockets into Israel. Israel replied with three. Hamas launched 7,000 rockets into Israel and slaughtered 1,200 Israelis before the IDF responded in Gaza, often dropping leaflets and sending texts to forewarn citizens. Israel has been disproportionate only in the effectiveness of its response. Hamas and its Iranian benefactor intended disproportionately to hurt Israel but utterly failed. So Israel proved to be competent, and Hamas incompetent in their similar efforts to use disproportionate force.

Let Them Destroy Each Other
Kurt Schlichter, Townhall
Yes, allegedly elite schools, please destroy your value proposition. Also, be sure to further alienate conservatives, who will be sure to use their political power against you in return. There was one time when you could pretend to be above politics, and conservatives would keep funding you, but now a conservative pol is going to have to explain to his own people why he’s giving money to a bunch of people who hate us and want to kill all the Jews. And he’s not going to want to have to explain that.

Restoring History: Movement to Return Confederate-Linked Names to Schools Garners Traction
Just the News (Madeleine Hubbard), The Star News Network
The local school board is set to vote Thursday on whether the names of Lt. Gen. Stonewall Jackson, Cmd. Turner Ashby and Gen. Robert E. Lee, all three of whom owned slaves at one time, should be restored to the schools. Scheibe is confident that the proposal will pass, especially considering a survey his organization sent out showed that it had overwhelming support. Of those responses, 91.3% of people voted in favor of reverting the schools back to their previous names. The county has an estimated population of 45,200 as of 2023.

House Passes ‘Electoral Integrity’ Bill to Restore Citizenship Question to Census
Katabella Roberts, The Epoch Times
The House of Representatives voted to pass a measure that would add a citizenship question to the next U.S. census, as part of the latest efforts by conservatives to “protect America’s democracy and electoral integrity.” The legislation, known as the “Equal Representation Act,” was led by Rep. Chuck Edwards, who spoke on the floor Wednesday regarding the need to ensure only American citizens are counted when apportioning congressional seats and Electoral College votes. It passed in a vote of 206-202 along party lines.

The Trump trial and the burning question: What are legal expenses?
Byron York, Washington Examiner
NYC Prosecutor Alvin Bragg has charged Trump with 34 felonies, each carrying a maximum sentence of four years, for a maximum of 136 years in prison. If convicted, Trump could be sentenced to spend the rest of his life in prison for saying there was a retainer when there wasn’t or dating a payment 2017 when it arguably should have been 2016. This is the stuff of civil enforcement and fines. Can’t anyone in the prosecutor’s office or the Democratic Party or any of the cheerleaders in the media admit that this is crazy?

Republican Introduces Bill Requiring Proof of Citizenship to Vote
Joseph Lord, The Epoch Times
Rep. Chip Roy has introduced a bill in the lower chamber of Congress that would ensure that illegal immigrants do not vote in federal elections, dubbed the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act. The bill is being introduced with the support of House Speaker Mike Johnson, who vowed to bring up such a bill during an appearance with former President Donald Trump weeks ago. Although noncitizen voting in federal elections is already unlawful, past Supreme Court decisions limit states’ power to ensure that voters are citizens.
