The Fall of the House of Presidential Persecutions
Victor Davis Hanson, American Greatness
Latin-American, African, and Asian dictators are delighted that the U.S. has lost the moral authority to lecture them on the need for a disinterested and independent judiciary. Our democratic allies in Europe and Asia are increasingly disturbed that the instability and unlawfulness apparent in the current lawfare put into question the reliability of the U.S. and its adherence to a rules-based order—whether at home or aboard. Any president who would sic the justice system on his opponent might be equally vindictive and lawless to his allies.

NY Judge May Get Trump Elected
David Catron, The American Spectator
The pundits titter when they see Trump defy an unconstitutional gag order and declare, “I will gladly become a Modern Day Nelson Mandela — It will be my Great Honor.” But these people have no idea what they are witnessing. Most voters now realize that “working class Joe” was the front man for a bait-and-switch in 2020. But the people who run the Biden regime are imposing the Sanders agenda and it is failing badly. The voters want the gag removed from Trump, so they can return to the peace and prosperity over which he presided before 2020.

How To Neutralize The Campus Communists
Kurt Schlichter, Townhall
The way to defeat the campus commies is to implacably hold them to rigid standards and impose tough consequences upon their actions. Do not recognize them or their cause. Beating them requires ignoring their attempts to set the terms of engagement, whether it be ignoring their internal hierarchy, rejecting demands and negotiations, or ignoring the performative screaming and yelling. They get nothing – not deference, not respect. That’s how you beat them. And the authorities who fail to do this will get broken and humiliated.

The 2024 Sunset of the Trump Tax Cuts Becoming Election Year Issue as Inflation, Cost of Living Climbs
The Center Square (Casey Harper), The Star News Network
The sweeping Trump-era tax cuts in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 are set to expire next year, setting up the tax debate as a potentially key political issue this election year. While illegal immigration and inflation top Americans’ list of concerns, both parties are increasingly talking about the Trump-era tax cuts, which President Joe Biden has said he will allow to expire next year. President Donald Trump, meanwhile, has promised more tax cuts if elected.

Trump’s sleazy accusers
Byron York, Washington Examiner
Neither Michael Cohen or Stormy Daniels has been able to control his or her compulsion to bash Trump. It all depends on Michael Cohen. In recent years, Cohen has admitted to lying under oath multiple times. He has admitted to cheating on his taxes and lying to banks. He has displayed an extreme animus against Trump. He has sought to make money from the legal pursuit of Trump. And now, the case against Trump, the historic first-ever indictment of a former president, depends not on documents but on the credibility of Michael Cohen.

Federal workers rebuff Biden decree; few heed call to return to offices a year after pandemic’s end
Stephen Dinan, The Washington Times
President Biden officially ended the national COVID-19 emergency one year ago, but federal agencies have struggled to get employees back to their offices — and some are still trying to figure out how to monitor those working from home. The White House has set a goal of 50-50, which means employees with office jobs are expected to spend at least five days out of every 10-day work period in the office. Agency chiefs say they are striving to meet that goal, though anecdotal reports suggest attendance is sparse. Independent studies agree.

Will the Real Dictator Please Stand Up?—If He’s Able
Daniel Oliver, American Greatness
About Biden, we should ask, as attorney Joseph Welsh did of Senator McCarthy during the infamous army hearings in 1954, “You’ve done enough. Have you no sense of decency, sir, at long last? Have you left no sense of decency?” Biden’s answer, obviously, would be no. Biden enthusiasts might argue that Biden is sufficiently over-the-hill that he doesn’t really appreciate the distinction between truth and not-really-the-truth. But his gag writers surely do. Neither Biden nor his campaign cares about accuracy—or honesty.
