The Travesties of the Trump Trials
Victor Davis Hanson, American Greatness
The number of suits against and indictments against Trump grew in correlation to his political fortunes. They were designed to do what Democrat voters likely cannot. They are ridiculous and sui generis, and will never be used against anyone other than Trump. They have done more damage to democracy, the rule of law, and equal justice to the law than all of the antics that Trump is accused of. Moreover, they will set in motion a dangerous tit-for-tat cycle of weaponization that threatens the very constitutional order of the U.S.

Bragg’s Trump Trial Refutes Case Against Immunity
David Catron, The American Spectator
Alvin Bragg’s is a lost cause. According to the latest AP-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research poll, “Only about one-third of U.S. adults say Trump did something illegal in the hush money case.” This leaves us with the following state of affairs — legal experts can’t figure out what the Bragg case is about, the Supreme Court will probably give Trump a win on immunity and his poll numbers will continue to climb — as they did in the new CNN survey. Unless they chain Trump to a damp wall, he’s poised to party like its 2016.

As polls slip, Biden seeks media help
Byron York, Washington Examiner
At the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, as Hillary Clinton did earlier, it is remarkable when anti-Trump voices congratulate themselves for not imprisoning their opposition, even as Trump faces a maximum of 136 years in prison in a prosecution that even some critics have suggested is weak and politically motivated. But they do. In any event, the dinner seemed far away from the world in which Trump leads Biden by 6 points and majorities view Trump’s presidency as a success and Biden’s as a failure — in other words, the rest of America.

Conservatives Need to Man Up and Play by the New Rules
Kurt Schlichter, Townhall
If our leaders just sit there and take it without exacting vengeance, our people are going to leave. Human nature demands retribution. That’s the essence of protecting your people. If you’re not willing to send the cops to clear these scumbags out of our campuses – and they are our campuses – then you’re not protecting your people. The people will find someone who will. So, protect our people like Texas Gov. Greg Abbott did, or like Governor Ron DeSantis will do if any of these human manure piles dare to try that crap in Florida.

Elevated Inflation, Poor GDP Growth Raise Concerns
The Center Square (Casey Harper), The Star News Network
Both the inflation and GDP data points raised concerns among economists and renewed criticism of President Joe Biden among Republicans. “Given the elevated levels of inflation – and this is the new normal for 2024 – the market is going to need to get over hopes for Fed rate cuts,” Chris Zaccarelli, chief investment officer for Independent Advisor Alliance, said in a statement. “Yes, they may cut once (or not at all), but there is no possibility the Fed is going to cut rates 3 or more times, unless we go into recession.”

Mammas, Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Activists
Roger L. Simon, The Epoch Times
It’s impossible to know how many of these protestors come from single-parent homes, but it’s almost certain to be a high percentage. This is a national disaster in itself. It’s hard to know in general how many of them there are or even who they are because they wear masks or keffiyehs covering their faces (for fear of COVID or, more likely, identification by future employers). What we are seeing on our campuses is the product of a family environment imploding or, sadly, already imploded. Much of this is and has been intentional.

Anti-Semitism Should Not be Part of the American College Experience
Fred Fleitz, American Greatness
Intolerance and violence on campus, like the current anti-Israel and anti-Jewish demonstrations, will continue and grow until there are fundamental changes to banish the radical and intolerant radical ideologies that cause them. This will be a huge undertaking that will require major initiatives to reform college curriculums and culture—including hiring moderate and conservative professors—that college administrators and faculty will fiercely resist. This may change next January if there is a new president in the White House.
