Woke Corporations Assisting Democrats In Destroying American Constitutional Liberty

Andrew Breitbart famously said “politics is downstream from culture.” Academic Leif Weatherby expanded and updated Breitbart’s insight to proclaim “politics is culture” in a 2017 article for The Hedgehog Review.

Weatherby wrote at the beginning of the Trump era, before the rise of today’s epidemic of “wokeness” infected both politics and culture, but his insight is based on the Marxist principle that everything is political and that’s the basic operating code of Democrats, the academic Left and today’s “woke” politics.


And, outside of the academy, nowhere is that operating code more deeply embedded than in today’s globalist corporations.


These corporations, which include some of the world’s most recognized brands, are the tip of the spear in the Left’s war on the American experiment in constitutional liberty.


When Florida passed its parental rights in education legislation entertainment giant Disney became one of the foremost advocates of using schools to groom children in Kindergarten through Third Grade to accept gender ideology, pedophilia, and homosexuality.


Let that sink in for a moment.


The company that became synonymous with children’s entertainment and family friendly movies and theme parks, and made billions off that brand, put itself on the side of those who want to destroy your children.

Disney's general entertainment president Karey Burke, the executive in charge of charge of content, claims to be the parent of " two queer children, actually, one transgender child and one pansexual child."


Burke said she supports featuring “many, many” characters who are LGBTQIA, which stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (or questioning), intersex, and asexual (or allies).


By the end of 2022, Burke said she wants at least half of the entertainment giant’s characters to be LGBTQIA or racial minorities.


Most conservatives recognize the entertainment industry as being irrevocably Leftwing, but the intersection of politics and culture isn’t just in entertainment.


Target promoting the homosexual lifestyle in their commercials, practically eliminating white people from their advertising, and opening their restrooms to gender “identity” rather than reserving them based on biological sex is now somewhat passe compared to the Leftist political activism of the Coca-Cola Company, Delta Airlines, Twitter and Facebook.


Last year we told you about what the Atlanta-based Coca-Cola Company was doing by lobbying against Georgia’s election integrity legislation and later speaking out against its passage; the company was lobbying to make it easier for Democrats to cheat and commit election fraud.


That’s right – the company that was at one time the world’s most recognized brand, that sustained Americans through two world wars, the Great Depression and was ubiquitous in American culture in good times and bad came out in favor of making it easier to steal elections.


And Atlanta-based Delta Airlines, another major American brand, did the same thing.


This urge to overt political action, as opposed to cultural messaging and narrative building, found its first major victory through the actions of social media companies to influence the 2020 election. Twitter and Facebook actively suppressed the Hunter Biden laptop story and forbade the posting of any information regarding election fraud in the election – and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg later admitted that government agencies, including the FBI, prompted him to ban certain information, something the government couldn’t do its own due to First Amendment considerations.


But that was nothing compared to the $300 to $400 million that Facebook’s Zuckerberg put into the Democrats’ scheme to fix the 2020 election through manipulation of the absentee voting process.


Now the Left has enlisted the financial services industry in their next assault on constitutional liberty.


Our friend Sara Carter alerted her readers that on September 1, dozens of Democratic lawmakers sent a letter to credit card companies “pressuring the company to start monitoring gun purchases.”


According to reporting by the Washington Times, senior Democrats such as Senators Elizabeth Warren and Dianne Feinstein spearheaded the letters addressed to the Chief Executive Officers of American Express, Visa and Mastercard credit card companies.


“Banks and credit card companies could help law enforcement preempt some mass shootings by identifying suspicious gun purchases through the implementation of a new MCC,” the lawmakers wrote. “MCCs are four-digit codes maintained by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) that classify merchants by their purpose of business.”


“The creation of a new MCC for gun and ammunition retail stores would be the first step towards facilitating the collection of valuable financial data that could help law enforcement in countering the financing of terrorism efforts,” the letter continues.


“A new MCC code could make it easier for financial institutions to monitor certain types of suspicious activities including straw purchases and unlawful bulk purchases that could be used in the commission of domestic terrorist acts or gun trafficking schemes. Such coordination between financial institutions and law enforcement has been instrumental in efforts across the federal government to identify and prevent illicit activity.”


A number of financial services companies, notably Bank of America, have already said they don’t want to do business with gun companies, but this is different.

This, like the Biden administration’s use of Facebook and Twitter to ban information about Hunter Biden, 2020 election fraud and the pandemic, is the Democrats in power trying to use the private sector to create a gun registry – something the government is currently prohibited from doing.


The Biden regime’s use of woke corporations to attack the First Amendment was just the beginning. To the Marxist, and the Democrat, everything is political – even what you buy at the grocery store and the gun store, and no one believes for a minute that the same companies that banned speech and information the Biden government didn’t like, went along with including all the woke pantheon of characters in their advertising and opened their restrooms to dress-wearing men won’t step up to undermine the Constitution’s Second Amendment by creating a banking-based gun registry for the next phase of the Democrats’ long war against American constitutional liberty.
